Why the NPQ in
Executive Leadership?
The National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) are a suite of established DfE accredited qualifications for school leaders, designed to support professional development - helping school leaders and teachers become more effective.
The DfE will fully fund your place on the NPQ in Executive Leadership and we would therefore like to formally invite you to apply for this 18-month qualification beginning in November 2021.

The Programme Delivery
The NPQEL programme includes 6 face-to-face events for participants which includes a 2 day conference via a blended teaching model. Our national network allows for the face-to-face training to be facilitated at a regional conference centre by experienced school leaders and facilitators.The online teaching takes place through our Virtual Learning Enviroment (VLE) Canvas which allows participants to engage in learning communities to share and access content with their peers. The VLE also allows participants to access various research pieces and industry-leading content while receiving high-quality feedback from performance coaches. -
The DfE has given £184 million in funding to the top 30% of schools in relation to pupils on pupil premiums - the teachers and leaders from these schools will be able to access a fully-funded NPQ.The funding for these reformed qualifications is applied from Autumn 2021 for eligible schools.

The NPQ framework has been reformed which means from Autumn 2021 there are more NPQ options to choose from for teachers and leaders to progress and develop their careers.The reformed leadership NPQs, such as the NPQ in Executive Leadership, are designed and developed using the latest research and evidence to help you hone and improve your leadership practice.
